Create application without storyboard in Swift language – iOS8

We can create a navigation based application in swift language without using storyboards like this

  1. Create an empty application
  2. Create ViewController To be made as root viewcontroller
  3. SwiftStudyViewController.swift

    class SwiftStudyViewController: UIViewController {

    init(nibName nibNameOrNil: String!, bundle nibBundleOrNil: NSBundle!) {

Android Novice – Unable to build android project?

Eclipse not creating .R in gen folders

  1. Clean and refresh
    • Right Click on Your Project
    • Select Refresh
    • Select Project from Top Menu and press Clean
  2. If project error is still shown. Delete gen folder and do the above step

Invalid Java compiler error

  1. Right Click on Your Project
  2. Select Properties
  3. Select Java Compiler
  4. Check Enable project specific settings Continue reading

Android Novice – How to add a jar to our project

  1. Create a folder named libs in our android project directory
  2. Copy the jar file(s) to the libs folder
  3. Right Click on Your Project
  4. Select Properties
  5. Select Java Build Path
  6. Choose Libraries tab
  7. Select Add Jars
  8. Choose the jar file(s) from libs folder of your project
  9. Click OK

Android – How to Create Signed Application Package / Signed APK

Create a new keystore and save the signed APK

  1. Right Click on Your Project
  2. Select Android Tools
  3. Select Export Signed Application Package
  4. Browse and Select the project to export
  5. Select Create new keystore
  6. Browse a location to save keystore
  7. Enter a password (The keystore can be reused for creating future signed build, so remember the password)
